In this post, we start to document when we took Kelly to S______ U. Kelly talks to Kristina on the phone, Judi climbs a tree in flip flops, and we all confer around some modern art. (There were moths around the statue.) More pictures, sometime, maybe soon, maybe not. We'll see. (Oh, the coolest thing, was we got to see the eclipse (moon in front of sun) at S_______. Kelly got some photos and I'll have to see if I can get them from here to put here.)

For Mother's Day, from Tia! I have to show you what Nat and Kira made for me, too! I have to show you pictures of what I did last week. I have to show you pictures of Gerard and Kelly's visit, playing over the weekend, and Kira's birthday! Now, tonight, it's Nat's band concert, too. I may never catch up! (School ends soon, too and that will set me even further behind.) Hopefully, I will have time to sort pictures and upload soon.

This has been a crazy weekend!

On Friday we had Kira's birthday, a field trip, swim team practice, a violin lesson, and dinner out at Kira's favorite restaurant.

On Saturday gymnastics, dance, a little party for Kira, and we attended a party for Nat's friend.

Today, we've had girl scouts, have been tapping (all of the girls and me and I LOVE it!), and are getting ready to go take a little hike. We hope to clean out my car soon, too. (I really hope for that.)

I'll share more pictures of Kira's birthday, the field trip, and Mother's Day as soon as I get the camera downloaded. I will say, don't hold your breath, though. This week, I'm organizing teacher appreciation week at the girls' school so I'm going to be busy. (Oh, and I have to finish up a report for work... It keeps me out of trouble.)

Grapes and apples

At the new house, we have grapes and apple trees! One of the apple trees was still in production when we bought the house and we LOVE THE APPLES. We're excited for the fall's harvest. Here you can see pictures of baby grapes and apples!

Swim team

Below, you can see Nat at practice. She's on swim team for the first time! I am so excited for her. She's really enjoying it and learning a lot.

She's laughing because he got happy and started kneading her. He is a snuggly boy. He was purring super loud. (I wish photos could capture sounds... I should have taken a video!)

Work & Learning

On Sunday, I got to go participate in learning simulations for nurses. It was really interesting and a great experience.

Since Kindergarten

Kira's been asking for violin lessons for 2 years. This is an early birthday present! She took a trial lesson tonight and next week her violin will arrive and she'll start lessons!

Also, I just learned you can purchase violins from Amazon... Who knew?!

Guard cat

He loves to sit by the front door and look out the window. It's Buddy the Guard Cat.

New Daisy

Tia became a Daisy on Sunday! Here she is at her ceremony!

Another kitty

Last Sunday, Kira and I took a walk and met this kitty. This Sunday, Tia and I met her/him again. S/he sits outside on Sunday nights and greets everyone who walks by. S/he also demands belly rubs.
