New Puppies!

I never thought I'd get white puppies.

Lights are out...

But they keep reading. The hall light is on so they can kind of see. They are blink-y because the flash. I love that they stay up late reading, but don't tell them that.

Early Natalie

Here's some from Natalie when she was about 3 years 11 months.

She's working with two mediums in this piece... watercolor and crayon. She drew a horse, and painted him and also painted the sky, sun and grass (freehand).

What I did on my summer vacation

Nick took a couple days off and fixed lots of stuff up high.

Fresh

Fresh Today! We ate them all. They were delicious. Natalie grew them. We should have more in a few days.

And....

Nick just found this gem of a movie from April, 2006. Kira says, "No like it EVER" at the end. Priceless.

Solar System

We've been talking a lot about the Moon since today is the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11. The girls got excited about space. They decided to make the solar system in the playroom.

Above is Kira's version and she did it all by herself!

And this is Natalie and Tia's version. They collaborated. Do you like the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter? Pretty impressive! We love our little geeks girls!

They learned all about the solar system in Pre Kindergarten. Tia's going to be all ready for this material! (She hasn't gone through it yet.)

Models

This was summer 2008.

This was our 2009 photo shoot

A day at the Beach

We even saw dolphins playing off the coast, but we didn't get any pictures. It was super fun to see wild dolphins leaping and playing in the ocean.

Nat is going to end up with a strong association between Sam and amusement parks...

Look out spiders!

He may look sweet and harmless, but when it comes to spiders, he's ruthless. When Nick's not around, he gets the spiders for us and LOVES doing it. Thanks Buddy!

bi Kira

Last year, that's how Kira wrote "by." This year, she can spell a lot of words. She knows how to spell all words that rhyme with: cat, far, land, etc. She can also spell, from, full, love, milk, big (and the rhyming ones), and lots of others. She tried to spell fashion yesterday. She's so ready for kindergarten. Heck, she's ready for first grade. She reads pretty well too.

2 X four

Nope, Kira's moment continued.

A moment

Kira was having a "moment" on top of the space needle. Daddy was trying to make it go away by giving her a shoulder ride. Did it work?

Super Girls

Grandma K made some super girl capes for the little girls. Thank you Grandma K!

Tia's Car

She does love cars. When she grows up she wants a red Jaguar car. She'll drive and I'll (Judi) ride is what she says. We'll go get coffee then do Zumba and aerobics. I can't wait!

(I keep telling her she might want a TT roadster.)

breaking news

At least it wasn't broken.

Yea, I want one.

Last day of school

It's the last day of school. (6/12/09)

Last day of Preschool for Tia and Pre-K for Kira.

Tia's teachers told her class that they have to be really good in Pre-K.... otherwise they'll get sent back to Preschool. Tia seemed very worried about this. I guess their motivational techniques work.

Out for "coffee" and new cups.

Nat's done with school--she's a second grader now! She is happy to join in at Kira's ice cream party on the last day of school.
