Sweet little Kira age 4 (photo of the week 49/52)

Here's a picture of Kira taken at Katie's wedding. I only have a hard copy of it, so I took a picture of it (with my iPhone). It's one of my favorite pictures of her. I wish I had the (original) soft copy. I must remember to ask Katie!

Meet the new boys! (photo of the week 50/52)

They arrived, today! We met them on Tuesday. Kira's kitty is in back looking more chill and Tia's is in front looking a little scared. We think Kira is naming her kitty Noel (as in Christmas in French) and that Tia is going with Coale (pronounced coal). Of course, this could change. We'll keep you posted.

Buddy's doing "okay" with the situation. Buddy and the new boys haven't officially met yet. The new guys know about Buddy (or rather Noel does, whether he's shared the info with Coale is unknown), and Buddy knows there's at least one new kitty around here. The new boys are adjusting in the bathroom. We're glad Coale came out from behind the toliet! Making progress.

Boy am I behind. I owe you Friday in Boston and lots of other stuff. Right now, this is Saturday (11/26) in Chinatown. (My brother Rob came to visit for Thanksgiving. We played tourist with him.) Kira loves her new red dress.

I think one of this is photo of the week. I think I might like the second one best. What do you think?

Hike (10/16) (Photo of the week 41/52)

We're making this one photo of the week for the 10/9 - 1/15 even though it was taken on 10/16. I had a cold this week and didn't feeling like doing much of anything. I was better by Sunday so we did a little hike. The judges are forgiving and let Sunday pictures count in the previous week when there's a good reason. This whole fall has been a little wacky; thank goodness the judges are kind and also accept photos taken by Nick on iPhone.

The one yesterday didn't have the "clarity" filter on it. I think I like the way it looks with the clarity effect.

7/6/2011...I could have taken a photo pretty much like this one everyday during the week of 7/3 - 7/8. We went swimming a lot. The weather was pretty much PERFECT.... Mid to high 80s, but very cool at night.

I'm making the first photo the photo of the week. I thought I had poor lighting on Kira and I didn't think she was smiling. I guess, I was wrong. The lighting on Nat's photo could have been better. It can be hard to see on screen in bright sunlight.
