Here she is a couple of days ago walking in to school with her good friend.  Happy birthday, Tia!!!  You are so funny, smart, and cute!  We love our T!

track and field

 

April and May were a little crazy and I didn't even get a chance to tell you Kira did track and field. 

She did long jump for part of the season and high jump the whole season.  She made it to county!  At one point, she proudly told me she was exercising almost 20 hours a week.  (Dancing 7.5 + PE 5 + Track 4-9 depending on the week)

Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful 12 year old! How did 12 years go by so quickly? She's smart, strong, funny, graceful, independent, self-sufficient, and very loving. She loves cats, giraffes, calendars, cupcakes, cooking, and of course, ballet.

I do love walking to school with the girls on Wednesday. Kira's best friend walks with us.

Middle school work

 

I thought I had posted these pictures of K's middle school going on a field trip... Well, the organization comes to them and they go into the library.  They learned more about earthquakes, engineering, and materials this day.  

Post Nutcracker

 

Kira's 6th grade math teacher came to see her dance!  Thanks, Miss C! 

Tonight is Kira's 3rd performance of the Nutcracker.

This was last week... Kira's first middle school concert.  Yes, she's a trumpet player now!

At the new studio, once a year, I will get to watch a ballet class of Kira's. They do have performances, but this is class.

Here she is putting on her pointe shoes. Super fun. It's great seeing her learning.

Last day of School

Nick picked up the two elementary school girls--just one next year--and took them to lunch to celebrate.  Look at my 5th grader and 6th grader! The middle schooler had a party with her friends.
