He's not sure when these were taken. My guess is somewhere between 87 and 95--prob more like 91. Anyone have a better guess?  My blond boy wearing a tie... (that's a little odd).

Too much data

You may wonder what a dolphin picture has to do with too much data... Well, the other day I was looking for a picture. Kira and I went through A BUNCH of boxes of pictures.  I finally found the one I wanted.  I took pictures of it.  (This one wasn't what we were looking for, but I was happy to find it.)

This set of pictures is a clue to myself to look on my phone at pictures taken on 8/19 the next time Kira wants to see me in my prom dress.  I also found most of the other pictures of me wearing a formal dress and doing some high school event.  Who knows, maybe I'll put them up here someday when I have some spare time.

 

There's also this one.  Hawaii October, 2001 for our 3rd anniversay and "babymoon."  Nat was there, but it's hard to tell.  There's also one of Nick kissing our dolphin friend, but he doesn't want it on the web... I don't know why.  I love her.

Balance

 
This is from 8/2016 after the last 5K we ran.  The girls show tremendous balance.  I've always loved this picture and I don't know why I haven't posted it before.  (I'm pretty sure I haven't posted it before.)

Commentary:  it's a little ironic 'cause we have no balance right now.  Or maybe it's just me.  I anticipate that things will get less crazy by mid April.  Remember when I took that new job?  I knew I would love it.  I knew I would get to do new things and learn a lot.  I knew it would be insane for a while.  Yup.  That's where we are.  Life is good.  Life is full.  Life might be a little too full for me.  Fortunately, Nick is very balanced and the girls are super good at being in charge of and responsible for their work, and fortunately we have have Chelsea helping us do all the crazy things we do.

Also, Nono's foot isn't healed yet.  Things will be crazy with him for a little bit more.  Think good kitty thoughts for him.

A memory

Apparently, in 2011 when our carpet was going to be torn out, this happened:

Our ugly carpet is getting ripped out tomorrow so I let the girls color on it with magic marker. (They had to swear they would never, ever write with magic marker on any surface of our house ever again.) Did I mention how much I hate that carpet?

A memory from 11/2009

Tonight, Tia (4-years) got frustrated when her sisters weren't listening to her so she said, "Natalie, Kira, FOCUS!" It was hilarious. (The mystery is where did she get the word "focus?" I don't get their attention with the word focus, so is that Katie, or is that one of her teachers at school?)

Comments from FB:
Kelly: Do they say "chop, chop" when they want someone to hurry up?
Me: They do say chop, chop! They say several other things too of mine. Katie, did you see this? Do you say focus?
Katie:  lol i do say "focus" sometimes, but only to N when she is having trouble keeping on track, usually there is a buddy cat in the picture causing the distraction. the other day T said it in the car cause she wanted to get everyone's attention, but the boys and K & N were cracking up at a sill joke. the other day T said to jake, "jake, you are not helping the situation here." it was pretty funny. = )
Me:  T's been saying some pretty funny things lately... "Darn it," "Mamma Mia," and other things, but I can't remember them. She's so bossy too... Someone told me that's part of her astrological sign.

The girls used to wear matching clothes.  They've been asking me if I miss the "good old days" when I could just buy the same thing in "small, medium, and large."  Yes, yes, I do.

Here's Grandma K's family.  Grandma K must have been all of 5 or 6 here.... She is the oldest.
