Balloon animals
Nat's got a gig at a party for 4-year-old kiddos, today. She'll be making balloon animals. Here are some samples.

No-no
No-no loves Tia's carseat. It is so funny how each kitty likes different things. He says this seat is purrrrrfect for me.

Monday morning treat
It rained early Monday and this is what the girls and I saw driving in to school / work. The photo was shot out the window while I pulled over. It was raining so I tried to do it quickly and without getting the camera wet. I was mildly successful at being quick and dry, but the picture is, well, a little um, poorly framed.

Monster-y goodness
Kira, another Mom, Kira's teacher, 23 of Kira's friends, and I made a monster. The kiddos worked for about 3-5 hours (over the last 3 weeks) planning and making all the parts. Today, we put it together. Making the monster is part of The Monster Project. It's super fun and we learn a lot. This is my 4th monster and Kira's second. I've done one with each of the girls. Since Nat was in first grade, Nat's done 2 and Tia's made 1 (last year). We love monsters.

Happy Anniversary!
Nick and Gerard looking so handsome!
One of my favorite memories, while walking around with my new handsome
husband at the reception, is hanging a spoon on my nose. (Yes, he knew
what he was in for when he married me. I think I did some other silly
things in the first two years we knew each other.) The man in a light
(khaki maybe?) shirt with a spoon hanging from his nose is Mark, my supervisor for 10 years. (Larry, Patti's husband (now) is on the left.)
Then, I walked around the reception with a spoon in my hand.
(Here you can see what 14 years later looks like.)
(P.S. These are photos taken from regular cameras or disposable camera. Then, a picture of the picture was taken by the iPhone. #nothighquality)

First field trip
Here's Kira on her first third-grade field trip! We went on a creek walk and learned a lot about the environment, the critters in the water, and trees in our area. (A couple of weeks ago. We already had the second field trip, too. Third grade field trips are super fun!)

Reading while eating
We like to read around here. Kira looks a little like Nick in this photo, but it might be because she's surrounded by reading material while eating.
