Others on the picnic

Don't feed the wildlife
We went on a picnic this afternoon and within moments of sitting down to eat about 5 of these guys appeared to see if they could join us. They were so persistent, and not scared of us at all, that we had to move.

Annual trip to the Beach
We finally got around to heading to the beach, yesterday. After our trip to Hawaii in February, it's been hard to want to go to a not-so-warm beach.
The girls didn't have a problem with the cooler temps and within moments of arriving....
Notice how dry and sand free he is?
When they were cold, they played in the sand.
There was a cool structure on the beach and the girls had a blast playing around it and "fixing it up."
Nat was trying to get warm...
Then she went back in the water and froze.
We saw dolphins playing around later in the day and we loved watching the pelicans dive bomb the water for fish!
They sleep on the way home... or do they? What do you think?

On a train
On Friday, we took a spontaneous ride on the train. We had a friend visiting and she was going to the city on the train. The girls asked if we could go with her on the train up there. I said, "Sure." We did the ride up, she got off, we jumped on a return train and rode back home. They LOVED it!

7/6/2011...I could have taken a photo pretty much like this one everyday during the week of 7/3 - 7/8. We went swimming a lot. The weather was pretty much PERFECT.... Mid to high 80s, but very cool at night.
