Sunday

We celebrated Natalie's birthday with her friends, yesterday. We went to the beach and had a fun day; the weather was really nice when we got there, high 60s and sunny. When we left, the fog had rolled in, so it was a little cooler. During the time at the beach, Nat and her friends dug a six-foot hole. More pictures when I download the other camera.

See you in the Funny papers

Nat and her friend Alex read the comics before we walk to school on a "late-start," "walk-to-school" day.

Asia

This is Asia. She's another kitty at the stables. She's pretty friendly, but she's got limits. She has been known to swat at people who didn't understand when she was done being petted. We haven't been swatted, but we listen carefully to her.

Motormouth

This is Motormouth. He's one of the kitties at the stables. He's super sweet. He tends to talk a lot, with nearly every step he takes he mews, hence his name. He's a very sweet, loving boy.

Can you spot Judi's Mii? Can you spot Nick's?

They both share a trait…. (hint, not height, though they are kind of tall… they aren't the tallest).

Office

Here you can see some of our office. I have a super cool picture over my treadmill desk now, too. I love my treadmill desk. I have walked 7-8 miles a day on it during crazy work times. So much better than sitting! (I'll get another picture when I remember.)

Wires and things

We had some internet difficulties when we moved in the new house--that's putting it mildy. Nick spent lots of time figuring out how to make it better. Here you can see some of the new networking he put in. Ask him more to find out more! He got us a super new cable under the house to make things better, too. (I did not document that process.)

She loves it!

last Sunday

We went to the beach as our last official winter vacation act. It was a beautiful day and the girls got sufficiently sandy and wet. We wish it would act like winter here and rain, but so far it's not, so we thought we would take advantage of the summer-like weather.

5 years...

Dad was never happier than when he was with Mom. Hopefully, they are having a grand old time playing pinocle, and hanging out.

the aftermath

I forgot to upload this picture last week. The girls go back to school tomorrow. I think this is a fitting picture for "the end" of the holiday.

Happy New Year!
To the chickens' relief, they never caught one.
