Friends

This was taken a couple of weeks back... They all do like each other. The new boys are a little scared of the girls because they were used to living with other kitties and a quiet lady. They are adjusting to the noise and activity level.

My what big kitty eyes you have.

Right after Christmas... The girls and the kitties got a kitty tree for Christmas and they all love it!

Chip off the old block

Nick is showing the girls how to program. Using Scratch, the girls can make an interactive game or a presentation. Kira made a game! We'll have a link to the online version of Kira's game very soon. (It's online, so if you want to see it, email and ask. It just is in a place that we can't link to from here for social reasons, not technical ones.) Nat's working on her first game, too. We're also using Picoboards to explore the world. Stay tuned for more updates on computational thinking!

Nat and Judi learned about Picoboards when they went to MIT last fall. (Oh, and Judi still needs to share pictures from that day!)

The girls are really enjoying this new project with Daddy!

Before and After

Kira and Tia took an ice-skating lesson today. Kira read an American Girl Doll Book about a girl who loves to skate and wanted to try it. Tia is always game for new adventures.

Before

After

Despite (quite) a few falls, they loved it. We signed up for a series of classes at the end.

Fences

Sticking with the New Year theme...On New Year's Day, we went on a hike. Afterwards, the girls sat on a fence. Nick snapped these pictures from afar, so they have an interesting grainy quality. I think the quality is fun and I like the pictures.

Happy New Year!

What, you say it's the 7th already? Oops...Yep, it's busy around here. Judi has a big project until January 20th. Then another big project until February 15th. And then she plans to take some time off work. Really.

In the meantime, we've been notified by one of wonderful cousins that Shutterfly sent out the wrong Holiday Card in our name. If you received a card from us with a picture on the front other than the one above, let us know! Our cousins in Texas received The Cunningham family's card.

Look for pictures of a girl who will be 10! soon!

Oh yea, and pictures from Christmas.
