First place roller coaster designer!

 

When I picked Tia up from Camp on Saturday she proudly displayed her FIRST PLACE win at Roller Coaster Design camp!  We'll be heading to ride roller coasters soon.  So proud of our future engineer.

Silkworms

 

We have silkworms.  For fun.  They are huge now.  This photo was taken a couple weeks ago.  

Middle school work

 

I thought I had posted these pictures of K's middle school going on a field trip... Well, the organization comes to them and they go into the library.  They learned more about earthquakes, engineering, and materials this day.

The pilots learned of her love of planes and engineering and brought her to the cockpit to help (pre-flight). They were super nice! (This was on our way to see the K____ family up north.)

Salt crystals

 

What, don't you take pictures of salt crystals that formed in a spoon and post them on the Internet?  We thought it looked like a peace sign.

Anaconda

The girls pick up an Anaconda... Okay, it isn't real, but it's ~100 pounds of fake Anaconda; working together, the 3 were able to pick it up.

We missed her!

She had a ball! (This photo was her on the bus leaving, but she was beaming in a couple of pictures that I saw of her at camp, too.) Favorite thing was "the food." She even ate salad.

Tia and her friend are doing a collaborative Science Fair project and they are using google docs to do their work and make their poster! (Google docs lets more than one person work on a document at a time. People don't have to be in the same location so the girls can both work at night.)
