September: Grandma F

September was a whirlwind.  Really, this whole year has been.  It's been going on a while, actually.  I didn't get posts up to mark her birthday or the day she died.  She would have been 93 this year.  We miss you!  Born 9/17 and passed away on 9/16 85 (almost 86) years later.

It's been 2 years

We miss you, Mom / Grandma F. Here's a necklace from Dad (1945?).  So sweet. Tomorrow would have been your 88th birthday. Hope you and Dad can drink some tea, play some pinochle, go out to dinner, go dancing, and spend a lovely day together.

Sunday afternoon

(8/28) Kira wears the dress I wore on the first day of 2nd grade, Tia wears the kindergarten dress and Nat wears a blue dress that I never wore. Grandma F would have loved to see this picture. Hopefully, she still has access to a Mac and the Internet.

She wouldn't want the blogging to stop on her account...

I'm going to try to get some blogging-groove back. Deep breath. We miss you, Mom!

sadness

We lost a wonderful member of our family unexpectedly. Mom, I miss you. The little girls miss you too, Grandma. Nick misses his favorite mother-in-law.

We wish we could have just had a party and not a funeral. No one loved family get-togethers more than you and we're sorry you had to miss this one in your honor. It was a good one!

If only we could go back in time and somehow prevent you from falling on Thursday, September 15.
