Softball

Tia played softball for the Middle School.  She got to play catcher a lot.  She was very happy about that.  The season just ended and she's looking forward to spring!

30,000 feet cute

I think this was on the way home from Seattle... (at the beginning of the summer).

I need some time to get some new pictures.  It's been too busy around here.  My teaching started and I had to go to DC.  This week is a retreat for work and next week is another conference.

Last day before school starts

Our traditional last Friday before school starts activity. This year, it was cold!
(Sorry for the delay, I was too busy catching up with vacation photos in August and then this month as been a wee bit busy at work.)

Teeny

At the event we also got to meet 17/18 day old kittens.  (One person said 17 days and one person said 18 days.)

Tiny!

The other 17/18 day old baby!

Dickens

As you can tell from our t-shirts, we went to an event; it was a fundraiser for rescue animals.  The little dog is a rescue who needs a home.  He was a spaz.  Very sweet, but a spaz.

5K

This was a few weeks back on a cloudy Saturday morning.  We had a blast and are planning our second 5K.  We'll get the tall blond guy to join us!

Catcher

Since I last posted, she's become a Middle School softball player.  She is an extraordinary catcher.  (Hopefully the knees will be okay.) Photo by Natalie with her phone.

Tomatoes #47

When your garden goes a little crazy and gives you a lot of tomatoes you take a bunch, cut them up, throw them in a pan with a little olive oil, a little balsamic, dried basil, oregano, and garlic. Toss them over some noodles. Yum.

Deep freeze

Our garden, and fruit trees, produce so much that I decided we needed a deep freeze. Now I have to fill it. Fortunately, I have very prolific tomatoes, and a full Fuji apple tree to help. Egg plants are still ripening, too! Anyone want to come over and help me pick and process from the garden? It's a wonderful problem, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed!
