A few weeks back

April 25 to be exact... We went to the little amusement park about 45 minutes south of our house. We bought the tickets that go on sale in the spring and let you get in the rest of the summer free. We'll be back!

Computers

The girls know how to operate computers, but they aren't sure exactly how gumball machines work. We had a lesson last week.

Eyedrops

Grandma F goes to NY

Grandma F was recently awarded state mother of the year in her home state. This led to a trip to NY. She opted out of the contest for national mother of the year, but we know she would have won, hands down!

Silkworms

In April, we got silkworms. Natalie has been studying them in school and her teacher let her bring some home. The first time, she brought 7 very tiny ones home. We ended up with two making it to the cocoon stage. Here's the first one going into a cocoon. His name was Larry or Lauren, depending on the sex. The other one, Henry (or Henri) is now in a cocoon too. Nat's teacher just gave Nat 8 more. The first one of the second batch has spun his/her cocoon (s/he was unnamed).

Today, Kira adopted one of Nat's 8. Kira name her new silkworm Beckie. Pictures forthcoming.

Miss Kira turned six and she got a Pump it Up party. Super fun. She managed to climb to the top of the climbing wall tonight! Way to go Kira!
