I have unpacked all of the boxes I have found labeled "kitchen," and I think I may be done with this room--well except for the dishes that still need to be washed. Only about 6-8 other rooms left to unpack and organize.

The movers made a bridge from our outside steps across to their van.  It worked well and saved them some steps.

I wish I would have organized the kitchen more. I may never find anything again. Boo. Also, we forgot to have the movers move our tomato plants. Double boo! Now we have to figure out how to get them over to the new house. We had asked them to move them but forgot in the craziness that was moving day. One of the movers likes to go so fast that he creates this whirlwind where you can't actually think.)  I'd put us at 90% moved, but the last 10% is the hardest.  Now we get to unpack.

I went down to the place I teach and one of my students, a professional photographer, snapped some pictures of me with the wonderful ocean background of the University.  Here they are.

Softball

Nat and Tia went to softball camp this week.  I didn't get any action shots, but they had a blast. They learned a lot and can't wait for softball season next year!

Nick and the girls traveled to meet Judi the other weekend.  Judi got delayed in DC and arrived 24 hours late.  Good times.

Nat went to Basketball camp this week. She had a blast! She plans to go back in a week with Tia. Summer fun!  (My iPhone really didn't like the lights in the gym!)  (Next time, I'll bring the good camera for better photos.)

This was kindergarten, but not sure if it was the first day.  I think my hair was shorter on the first day, so I'm guessing this was toward the end of the school year.

Park fun on a Sunday afternoon.

We went to this great park a couple weeks ago for a birthday party. The girls declared it the greatest park ever, so we went again the next day. They built all kinds of castles and helped the (imaginary) people survive in this area. 

This park, the water and sand, are all great for their imagination. After the first afternoon, when we went home, they spent hours drawing and writing stories about the wonderful creatures that live in this park. #learning-can-be-fun-if-we-let-it

The girls played "The Game of Life" with their friends. The best quote was when Tia said something like, "Yea, college costs more than night school, but you get a better job and can make more money after." (She was trying to convince her friend to go to college. Heh.)

Butterflies (by Nick)

 

It looks like these were photoshopped in, but they were real. Nick saw these two tiger swallowtail butterflies in the parking lot. He got some good shots with the iPhone! We're back from our short trip. Judi spent more time in airports and broken planes than she cares to recall. The girls had a blast and more pictures soon.
